What Dr. Cool Loves Most About Being A Dentist

WE RECENTLY ASKED DR. Cool a few questions about her career. Here are her answers – thought you’d find them interesting!

How old were you, and what made you decide you wanted to become a dentist?

“I’ve always had an interest in heath care, even as a child I wanted to help animals that weren’t well. That desire to help translated into dentistry after being inspired by my childhood dentist- he was the happiest person I’d ever met!”

Where did you attend school and how long have you been practicing?

“I grew up in Oakville, Ontario and went to Queen’s University in Kingston for an undergraduate degree in Life Sciences. I then moved to London, Ontario for dental school at the University of Western Ontario.

“I have been practicing dentistry for 5 years in Orangeville, Bolton and Brampton but I am very happy to be settling down in Guelph.”

What advice would you give to a young person considering a career in Dentistry?

“Come spend time with us and see if you like it! It takes hard work but it is a great career and it is well worth it!”

What is one thing you find most satisfying about being a dentist?

“I love the one on one interaction with patients that we get on a daily basis. It’s great to get to know people and their families. I also love helping people feel great about their smiles!”

We hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know Dr. Cool better! And, as always, THANKS for being our valued patients and friends!
